Solo Fingerstyle Guitar taught by Steven King, USA Fingerstyle Championship Winner,
reknown concert and clinician artist worldwide. Learn Steven King's acclaimed solo tab guitar arrangments of popular and jazz songs, his exact fingerings. Learn the tips, shortcuts,
moves, chords, and techniques that give you control of your fingerboard and strings.
AND, learn the shapes, moves, and thinking that allow you to ultimately
formulate your own guitar arrangements! For six string guitar in standard
tuning, this is your resource for learning the art of solo fingerstyle guitar.
This approach is equally effective on steel or nylon string guitars, acoustic
or electric. ALL OUR LESSONS AND ARRANGMENTS CAN BE PLAYED AND VIEWED ON YOUR COMPUTER This makes learning and uderstanding every move, every sound, so fast and rewarding. ALL MATERIALS AND ARRANGEMENTS ARE INTERACTIVE - YOUR COMPUTER CAN PLAY THEM WHILE YOU SEE THE ARRANGEMENT ON SCREEN, with the magic of "tef" files, so in addition to printout capability, you can have the computer play the songs and program materials as you view both the tab and treble clef moving along the screen. You can format many options to your liking, change tempos, etc. It's all done with free Tabledit TEFVIEW software (a free download at www.tabledit.com -click on button there "TEFVIEW FREE"). Just install the Tefview program (or Tabledit program if you are using the paid Tabledit program), and open one of our tef files from your program materials or song arrangements, then push space bar to play or to stop play. You can even print out the arrangement or exercises, formatted as you choose. See bottom of this page for recommended settings in the TEFVIEW program. You still have the option to choose PDF instead of TEF files if you prefer. VIEW CURRENT LIST OF POPULAR SONG TABS AVAILABLE TO ENROLLED FINGERSTYLE COLLEGE
STUDENTS Tuition is $95 USD for a 1-year enrollment, or $135 USD for a 2-year enrollment here's what's included: - Email sessions with Steven King. You get personal attention as you study each new arrangement. - Interactive lessons (in that you can have your computer play them while you see them on screen) and program materials are emailed to you, including tab and treble clef lessons, that are in themselves years worth of college level advanced solo fingerstyle curricula.. including the entire Big Book of Riffs in pdf form, included in the program materials, free ($50 value interactive version). The interactive files are "TEF" files playable in both the free "TEFVIEW" player and the Tabledit paid program (download the free player at www.tabledit.com -click on button there "TEFVIEW FREE"). - Lifetime access to posted video demonstrations of Steven King guitar techniques. - TEF (or PDF if you indicate this is your preference) song arrangements, files emailed to you ($1 per title access fee) of Steven King solo guitar tab arrangements of popular, jazz and variety songs (nearly 300, with many more planned for release), including titles by Glenn Miller, Henry Mancini, The Beatles (100 Beatles songs), Steely Dan, Frank Loesser, Cole Porter, Manhattan Transfer, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Simon and Garfunkel, and jazz and Latin standards. There is no limit to the number of Steven King's solo guitar tab+treble clef fingerstyle arrangements available to you during your enrollment. These are all personally arranged for solo guitar by Steven King and not available commercially. It would be very difficult to find an equivalent level of finess and sophistication in guitar arrangements anywhere. And now to have them up on your screen, seeing them scroll by as the computer plays them at your chosen speed, makes learning fast and rewarding. United States Fair Use law allows our Fingerstyle Guitar College enrolled students, as part of our curriculum, legal access to Steven King's acclaimed solo guitar arrangements in tab and treble clef, to learn and master this amazing solo style and the same renditions as recorded by Steven King on his CDs. You will first receive an email list of the titles available (which cannot be offered commercially, only to students), to formulate your own curriculum of titles to study and learn, rather than an arbitrary "one-size-fits-all" list of song titles to learn. And learning the moves instructed in these arrangements are key to learning the Steven King solo guitar style and applying it to your own playing and your own arrangements. We have found that best learning occurs with the assimilation of massive and varied repertoire. The more songs you know, the more your ear hears essential chord progressions modified from song to song. With this guitar style and repertoire under your fingers, you are better prepared for high-paying solo guitar society gigs and concerts. And with the instruction and exercises you receive in our Program Materials (including the entire Big Book of Riffs in TEF or PDF form), you are set for amazing success, amazingly soon.
