ALL OUR EXERCISES AND ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE PLAYED BY YOUR COMPUTER, with ability to slow the speed to your learning needs.
This makes learning and uderstanding every move, every sound, so fast and rewarding
.

All materials and arrangements include tab and treble-clef notation, and can be played by your computer while the music scrolls along, with the technology of  "tef" files.  It's all done with the free Tabledit TEFVIEW software - get the free download at www.tabledit.com/tefview.     Our thanks go to Matthieu Leschemelle, creator of the Tabledit software, for making this technology free for all to use.  He is a true genius, and you may well want to purchase the paid version of Tabledit one day -this is a program that can do it all, once you learn it.  Meanwhile, simply download and install the Tefview software (or the Tabledit full version), and open one of our tef files from your program materials or song arrangements, then push space bar to play or to stop play.  You can even print out the arrangement or exercises,  formatted as you choose.  You can alter the playback speed, slow it way down for example, for learning.  We list below our recommended parameter settings for the TEFVIEW and Tabledit programs.

NOTE: You have the option to choose PDF files instead of TEF files for all of our songs and exercises.

here's what's included:

-"
Some Answered Questions" -a collection of the best questions by former and current Fingerstyle College enrolled guitarists, each one answered in detail by Steven King.  These cover the important and subtle details of this most musical style of King's solo fingerstyle guitar approach.

-
Computer-playable exercises (using our "tef" files) and program materials are emailed to you, including tab and treble clef lessons, that are in themselves years of college level advanced solo fingerstyle curricula.   These exercises are no less than the entire Big Book of Riffs in tef file format, included in the program materials.

-
Access to many fine song arrangements for solo guitar, includes original and public domain songs, all personally arranged for solo guitar by Steven King. and delivered as TEF files emailed to you or PDF files if you prefer.  It would be very difficult to find an equivalent level of finess and sophistication in guitar arrangements anywhere.  These are your main learning tools, with simultaneous melody, chords, rhythm figures and walking bass lines, not to mention detailed and often unconventional fingerings.  And now, using Tefview, to have them up on your screen, seeing them scroll by as the computer plays them at your chosen speed, makes learning fast, efficient and fun.

- Direct email interaction with your professor (Steven King) during your enrollment term for measure by measure guidance with your fingerstyle song arrangements, fingering details, etc.

Comment from an enrolled student of Fingerstyle College, a professional working guitarist:

Hi Steven
As you know, I have been playing your arrangements and I am amazed how each arrangement works so well on the guitar..so logical, clean, challenging and rewarding. I've bought tons of books over the years with arrangements of Beatles tunes, Jazz Standards, Pop music etc and none of them can compare to your approach. Seriously! Some of these commercial books have arrangements that are so "wrong" it's amazing how they made it to print. Others are so 'unguitaristic' you might think they took the piano version and condensed it onto the G Clef...unplayable, awkward and terrible sounding.  -Steve Savastino, Fingerstyle College enrolled guitarist

"I just played in a local coffee house for the first time on saturday night.  I played many of your arrangements... This was a good opportunity for me and everything went well.  I was invited to come back and play any time I want to...  I wish I found your website 10 years ago.  Thanks for providing this service."

                                   - Pete Kazmierski, Fingerstyle College enrolled guitarist
